11 Best Songs of the Fall Season!

Music is something that I truly love and enjoy! I normally have some kind of playlist playing at all times and I love finding new bands and songs to jam to! I like pretty much every type of music, but during the fall I'm definitely loving the indie/pop/calm/rock vibes. Here are 11 specific songs that I think you might enjoy this fall season! The list is in no certain order, so you can pick and choose on what sounds better to you. I did list a snippet of some lyrics, a YouTube link, and some notes from myself concerning the songs. I'm not the best at describing music, but I tried! ENJOY!
  1. Vancouver Sleep Clinic- Someone to Stay
    • Lyric Snippet: Hear you, falling and lonely, cry out, Will you fix me up? Will you show me hope? At the end of the day it will help us. Can you keep me close? 
    • This is a very calm/melancholy song that just pulls at your heart strings! The song would be beautiful without the lyrics, and the lyrics just make it even better! They remind me a lot of the Shins and Sleeping at Last (Also terrific bands). If you have a moment, venture to their other songs on YouTube or Spotify. I could listen to them for hours! They give off a lot of Twilight vibes!
       
  2.  Randall Kent- Wherever You Go
    • Lyric Snippet: If you wanted to leave dry land, with nothing but the clothes on our back wherever you go, just take me with you
    • This is a very short and folksy song about following your love. It is cute, so you should listen to it! It is fun to dance to as well! I made Josh dance with me to this song in our living room just a few days ago.
  3. Narrow Plains- Ghost
    • Lyric Snippet: Lend me your fears, Loan me your doubts if you need to see clear, I'll always hold them when your nowhere near
    • I really like these melancholy and thought provoking/folksy songs! Think of this song as one you would listen to with hope as you look outside a fogging window while you're on the bus!
  4. Hollow Coves- The Woods
    • Lyric Snippet: We're all falling and we need a place to hide, A safe place in the woods, where we can start the fire, All we know is that would be our home, We will stay 'till the break of dawn
    • This is an indie band that just impresses me with every single song they put out! Their songs Home and Coastline are also terrific, but The Woods fits more with the fall! It is honestly hard to listen to their music and not find one that you love. Just go check all of their songs out.
  5. Daniel Trakell- Paradise
    • Lyric Snippet: Roads that curve and bridge too narrow, For the both of us to fall, Water seed and soil too shallow, For anything to grow at all.

    • This is a song where you can listen to it and be chill, but it has very unique lyrics that when you listen to helps you realize how pretty the song actually is. I'm a fan of songs like this because they're easy to listen to and just clean, read, or do anything really!
  6. Paul McDonald- Fist Loves
    • Lyric Snippet: I want to learn how to love, not just feel the feeling. I want to mend this heart before I quit believing.

    • I think I put this song on repeat on Spotify and just listened to it straight for over an hour, possibly longer. I think that means it has to be on this list. I tend to get fixated to one song and listen to it a lot. This song reminds me of Adelle in the fact that even when you aren't necessarily going through what they are talking about, you still feel all of the emotions!
  7. East Love- Sweet Arizona
    • Lyric Snippet: I met a girl there in the bright side of a dream, Sweet Arizona sweet as I had ever seen, Listening to Rolling Stones and rolling in the deep.

    • This song definitely has more of a country and hip feel. It makes you happy and is definitely one that you would dance to in the shower even if you don't know the words! I'm a sucker for some cute rhymes.
  8. Our Last Night- 1-800-273-8255 (*language*)
    • Lyric Snippet: I've been on the low, I've been taking my time, I feel like I'm out of my mind, It feel like my life ain't mine.
    • This track is a cover of Logic's song which is titled the number of the suicide prevention hotline! I love Logic's version, but this rocked up version is amazing! Our last night is one of my favorite bands, especially for their covers. Some of their stuff is pretty hardcore, so you may not like all of their music depending on your taste. Check out their cover of Silence and Want you to Stay as well. 
  9. Camila Cabello- Havana
    • Lyric Snippet: Not really needed, the lyrics aren't that deep! haha
    • This song is my guilty pleasure for pop music this season! You can't help but dance a little bit when listening! I like the version that doesn't have the rapper in it because then it flows a little better.
  10. Dua Lipa- New Rules
    • Lyric Snippet: One, don't pick up the phone, You know he's only calling 'cause he's drunk and alone, Two, don't let him in, You have to kick him out again, Three, don't be his friend, You know you're gonna wake up in his bed in the morning.

    • This wouldn't be a honest list if I didn't add this song! Although it is a mainstream pop song with less than stellar morals, I just can't get it out of my head!!! 
  11. Brett Eldredge- The Long Way
    • Lyric Snippet: Don't think I've ever seen your kind of pretty, Wondering 'round this midnight mad house city, You got a look that says you got it all together, So if you don't, mind I'd like to know you better.
    • This is a country song that just touches your heart strings and makes you want to binge watch every Nicholas Sparks movie out there. Plus, it has one the daughters from duck dynasty, if you're into that that kind of stuff. 

WHEW, YOU MADE IT THROUGH MY LIST!!!! What are some of your favorite songs this season? I tried to add a variety of songs on this list, but there are definitely more playlists and songs that I have been loving!   Granola: The Addiction If any of you know me well, you know I like to try new recipes! A few months ago I decided to try and make some Granola because Josh and I love to eat it and it seemed so easy. You could look up any recipe on Pinterest, but some of those granola recipes get rather tedious, so I found the simplest recipe on Pinterest and tweaked it for what I wanted! Underneath this paragraph is the image that I follow off of Pinterest. After you look at the image, check out the other renditions/add ins that I put into my granola! BTW: No one has tried my granola and said that it was not good! Let me know if you try the recipe and what variations you do! My Changes Oil Base: I have tried this recipe using butter/coconut oil and both are fabulous! It is definitely not as healthy with butter, but if you like the rich flavor that butter gives, then you will love it as your oil base. Confessions of a Sick Person

You probably don't know this, but I am sick!!! On Tuesday I woke up with a sore throat and thought that I was fine. I decided to go to work and by the end of my shift I got into the car and had really bad body pains, a headache, I was light headed, having chills, and honestly I felt like I had been run over by a bus.. Not fun!! While driving home I had to keep telling myself "You can do this!!!" I had to say that quite a few times since the rush hour drive from center city to Jenkintown was about an hour. I got home, and let's just say things got worse. I tried taking a bath, that helped for a minute, and then I laid in bed until Josh got home. My fever was over 102 and a few decimals! Luckily I have a great husband and he bought me a coke and one of those gas stations milkshakes that your parents never let you get when you were younger! I know this is probably not the healthiest but the caffeine helped with my head, and the milkshake helped cool my over heating body!...
